KEEP A NATURE JOURNAL

"Most people are on the world, not in it; have no conscious sympathy or relationship to anything about them," wrote John Muir, the environmentalist, scientist, adventurer, and Sierra Club founder.
Use a nature journal to write observations on nature and your reflections about how you feel in nature.
Grab your journal and head outdoors. First, pay attention to your surroundings. Take a walk or sit and observe. Then write out your observations and associated reactions. Begin each entry with the location, date, and time. Be descriptive when writing about your observations. If you saw a beautiful flower, describe its color, if it was fragrant, what draws your attention….You can do this with the environment You’re in as well. Then reflect on feeling and emotions evoked from your experience.
